Danny Bourgeois
Danny Bourgeois is an award-winning drummer, producer, recording engineer, mixing engineer, and studio owner with more than 30 years of professional experience in the Canadian music industry. Based in Moncton, New Brunswick, he has established himself as one of Atlantic Canada's most respected and versatile music professionals, contributing to over 150 albums as a performer while producing, recording, mixing, and mastering more than 125 projects through Pumpk'n Patch Recording Studio.
Danny's passion for music began at the age of five when he first sat behind a drum kit. By thirteen, he was already performing professionally, and by fifteen he had become an in-demand studio session drummer. Since then, he has built a career that spans touring, recording, production, engineering, and artist development, working with artists across a wide range of musical genres including country, rock, pop, folk, Americana, and Acadian music.
Throughout his career, Danny has toured extensively across Canada, the United States, and Europe, sharing stages with renowned artists including Roch Voisine, Brian Vollmer (Helix), Gordie Johnson (Big Sugar), Chris Cummings, Aaron Pritchett, Wilfred LeBouthillier, Lisa LeBlanc, Caroline Savoie, Jean-François Breau, Édith Butler, David Ball, Chris Colepaugh & The Cosmic Crew, and many others.
His work has earned numerous industry accolades, including the ECMA Musician's Achievement Award in 2017. He was also part of the ECMA Entertainer of the Year-winning Chris Colepaugh & The Cosmic Crew in 2011, contributed to Dominique Dupuis' Music New Brunswick Award-winning Instrumental Recording of the Year in 2012, and was a member of Les Gars du Nord when the group received Gala Country Awards for Contemporary Album of the Year and Discovery of the Year in 2024.
Beyond performing, Danny is the owner of Pumpk'n Patch Recording Studio in Moncton and co-owner of Studio LaClasse in Memramcook, New Brunswick. Through his studios, he has helped shape the sound of hundreds of recording projects as a producer, engineer, mixer, mastering engineer, and session musician. His commitment to quality, creativity, and artist development has made him a trusted collaborator for both emerging and established artists across Canada.
Danny's drumming has been featured on national television broadcasts, music videos, and CBC productions including Cover Me Canada, Luc et Luc, Musikotrip, Clé, and Tout Simplement Country with Guylaine Tanguay, where he served as the house band drummer.
Today, Danny continues to maintain an active touring schedule while producing and engineering projects from his studios in New Brunswick. His recent work has contributed to numerous award-winning and charting releases, further solidifying his reputation as one of Atlantic Canada's leading musicians, producers, and recording professionals.
